Ignacio's Story
Life
Attended AHS until Jan 1958 and was awarded my High School Diploma by the state in July 1958. I enlisted in the USAF in 1958 and retired in 1985 as a Senior Master Sergeant. My assignments were in France, England, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Okinawa, and many stateside bases. I also served duties in other countries in Europe and the Pacific areas. Some exiting locations I have being at were Paris, London, Geneva, Milan, Saigon, Phu Cat, Da Nang, Bankok, Seoul, Tokyo, Iwo Jima, Anchorage, Oahu, Guam and the Phillippines. Senior NCO I served in managerial positions. My first job after retiring from the military was at UC Davis Medical Center as a Distribution Supervisor on the graveyard shift. I later started a new career as a Federal Civil Service Medical Warehouse Supervisor advancing to Inventory Manager before all military bases closed in 1999 in Sacramento. I have earned an AA in Business from Los Angles Metropolitan College, and AA in Materiel Management from the Community College of the Air Force. I am currently residing in Sacramento, Ca. as a retiree.
