Amanda's Story
Life
Finally got out of working in hospitals back in the fall and am going back to school to work on a PhD in history, possibly a masters in music, & go on to teach history at a college level, still sing/perform during breaks. Had fun last summer doing Puccini's Turandot, including a fight scene with the fiancee. Very fun! Our friends got a kick out of that, although the people around them couldn't figure out why they were laughing during a fight scene.
No kids--my dog is three-year-old enoug...Expand for more
h for me. She knows it, too. I don't think I've seen a three-year-old as well behaved as my dog, though, so I'll stick with her.
James, who sings and teaches voice at Wash U.-St.L, wants to sing and live in Europe for a while, and I can't say that I'd complain. So, who knows where we'll be in five years when I'm *hopefully* done with all this rotten but necessary school. He's all for Italy or Germany; I'm more for Scotland or southern Spain (Andalucia). Wherever the opportunity presents itself.
