Hey there, havent the room to tell all, massive heart attack Dec 2003, spent 2 weeks in coma, woke up Xmas morning to years of Re-Hab (I knew smoking was bad!) and permanent disability! How have you been! My daughter, "Alexandria Maria Coelho Silva Renton" will soon be 13 and I am preparing myself (as well i am cleaning my guns) for when she will be embarking on her own trek via Highschool!! Im sure some of you can relate to. She is a carbon copy of me, except for the obvious biological differences, which is a blessing or maybe a slight curse as noted before memory is a bit weak. Yes thats her whole name, my ex was from the Acores (Portuguese for those like me who caught up on some missed sleep in geography!). Not working anymore, on permanent disabillity. Worked almost 20 years as a Sheet Metal Worker/Welder Fitter. During the later part of those years It was pretty much 50/50 between Sheet Metal and....(get ready for it!), a Teacher!! Yes its true I fell prey to the seductive powers of the "something, something, something dark side!" Teaching Apprentices and Journeymen through my union, working for the province teaching health and safety and certifying safety reps throughout all industries. I must confess the power trip was wicked. The irony is very poetic however, trying to hold in the laughter when you hear all the same excuses from the students I used like being late or going to the bathroom for 15 minutes while really sneaking a smoke!
