Life
After St. Paul's School and Niles I married Jim Burke from Chicago. We lived in Evanston for 7 years and then moved across the street to Rogers Park and bought a new 5 flat, lived there an additional 7 years. We adopted twin girls in 1974 and the following year we purchased a home in Hickory Hills, IL. After my father passed away my Mom came and lived with us. My Mom didn't like the cold winters in Chicago so we bought a condo in St. Petersburg, FL. My Mom and myself spent the winters in FL and the rest of the time in our Hickory Hills home along with my daughters. My Mom passed away in 2000 and my daughters decided to ...Expand for more
move to Hillsboro, OR a month later. We got them a mobile home in Gaston, OR and a few months later we build them a house in Hillsboro, OR. Before the house was completed I fell backwards off the second floor deck and spent two months in the Portland Hospial. I lost my sight in one eye however, I'm still here. Now I spend my time between Gaston & St. Petersburg. Occasionally stopping in Chicago to visit some old friends and my old church, Grace Lutheran in Willow Springs, IL. I can't believe that in less than four years we will have our 50 reunion at St. Pauls as the first graduation class of that new school in June of 1958.
