Joe's Story
1. Graduated.
2. Flunked physical, so no Vietnam.
3. One year at IWU.
4. Two years at IU.
5. Enough, did not want to be Cultural Anthropologist.
6. Didn't go to Southern California with my old Marion friends. Apprenticeship, quit GM to take it.
7. Union Journeyman Electrician, worked all over.
8. Sailor, WindSurfing mostly. Good times enjoyed with many friends.
9. Child, daughter in 1979, north of Converse on a dead end road. God, I loved it. Oh yeah, married in 1976. To Mississenewa High School sweetie, Lois Phillips.
10. Family man.
11. 2001, lost Lois to cancer. I screamed a lot.
11. My daughter came into her own during my wife's illness, She became a hell of a woman, and a good friend. She graduated from Purdue. Special Needs teacher 3 to 5yrs old. She left for SF Bay area. Got married in Mexico, moved ...Expand for more
to Denver, got her Masters, got herself pregnant in Ecuador. So I will be a grandfather this spring (2009). Made me very happy!
I think she will be named Lola, see "Damn Yankees", Sara Vaughn, The Kinks, or "Kinky Boots".
!2. I have been an attached man for a few years now. Her name is Connie, and she is quite unique, I have always liked the stronger type.
13. Ride my Harley around, get hit by cars as a pedestrian, fly kites, float around in canoes, be a true friend, and look marvelous, what else is there. Oh yeah, I remember, try to avoid gainful employment as much as possible. Oh yeah, and don't open those financial statements.
14. Update 07-09. Granddaughter Lola is 3 mos old and is less alien looking than most babies, a real cutie. Added a new motorcycle to the garage. Triumph Street Triple R.
