Alice Spurgeon:  

I am a graduate of 1958, Slater High School. Was married to a clasmate, Jearl Durham, for 8 years then suddenly passed away 10/20/1966 from a massive heart attack at the age of 27. We had 2 children, a son named Darrel soon to be 51 and a daughter named Jerelyn who is now deceased at the age of 47 as of 11/11/2007 and buried in Slater by her dad. I have 2 biologial grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I later remarried in 1978 and live outside of Columbia, Mo and have an inherited son who was 41 yesterday and 2 grandchildren by him and his wife. We live on a farm and do hay,no cows and bawling babies but several barn kittens, I am retired but have my own business that is very getting to be very profitable, and my husband works as an Ag. Technician for Sydenstricker, a John Deere Implement dealer west of Columbia. We live a very quiet life style. He is a tractor pulling lover and is building his own pulling tractor which is a 4010 John Deere Super Stock with 3 Turo's plus he also works on some of the Pulling Tractors tha you see on TV with NTPA.
