Life Once upon a time.... I wanted to play professional football. I got injured playing lacrosse which allowed me to play more guitar than usual and decided to become a rock star for all the right reasons (girls, travel, fun and the creative part of it all). I toured and recorded for many years as a professional musician. Moved to New York City in 1999 (I should have moved there in 1989) and started working in film and video. I now direct and produce music concert films and documentaries. I grew up listening to The Who, Rush, Deep Purple and bands like that. 18 weeks after I moved to NYC, I was producing a Pete Townshend concert film in London, UK. A year later, I was filming The Who at the Royal Albert Hall. And I filmed them again in Boston two years afterwards. I remember discovering Rush while I was in Grade 10. Louise Darah lent me two albums, 2112 and Hemispheres. She said to listen to them loud with headphones and to close my eyes. Don't move until you need to change the record side. In 2004, I was sitting in front of a video monitor wall directing 15 cameras and a crew of 60 at the Festhalle in Frankfurt, germany for what was going to become the Rush R30 DVD. And to remain faithful to my EB Jazz Band roots of playing bass and trumpet (merci M. LeGrady), I have had the wonderful opportunity and experience of filming Harry Connick, Jr. and Branford Marsalis on several occasions. My life ha...Expand for more
