Michael's Story
It is hard to believe that I am 72 years old. It only seems like I graduated from Warren Saint Marys yesterday. My mind and spirit still feel like I am young and say GO GO GO but my body says NO NO NO.
When I tell people I am semi-retired they just laugh. I still work on special projects for the company I full time for from 1978 until 2003 and continued on as a part-time employee thru 2008. In addition I have worked part-time for Elkhart City P...Expand for more
arks Department since 2003. In the summer months I over see there concession stands at Ideal Beach, McNaughton Spray Park, Pierre Moran Swimming pool, Riverview Softball complex, McNaughton Band concerts, NIBCO Water & Ice Park summer concerts and Oak Hills Golf course. In the winter months I manage the outdoor ice rink at NIBCO Water & Ice Park.
I enjoy the work because I am doing things I really enjoy doing and I spend a lot of time outdoors.
