Life I know the school section says Columbia High School, and I have tried to change it to Lakewood High School, but nonetheless, I am a White Salmon native. I was born in White Salmon, Washington. The best years of my life, and some of the best friends of my life, all came from that place (Don't get me wrong, I have great friends up north here, too). I return to White Salmon every couple of years, almost like a pilgrimage, to take in the sights, the energy, and to reminisce. I have no idea where my friends from this magical place have gone, as I moved away after the 4th grade, but came back and visited a few times. All my firsts occurred in White Salmon -- all the way from my first steps. Yes, first steps, to first first friends, even to first loves, and first loss (If anyone knows whatever happened to Heather Crews, please tell me -- She needs to know how she influenced my life). I moved all the way north, just past Seattle. Since moving away I've done a slough of different things. I've accomplished and developed a lot of talents that I never let go of from my youth -- I'm a successful artist; built my own home digital recording studio (worked successfully as a drummer in a great band that produced a fantastic CD); have a fairly decent paying job (although the money doesn't make up for the stress); am married to a woman who I can honestly and without a doubt say is my very best friend; came out of the closet as a ...Expand for more
