Ann's Story

Life I am married with five kids three of my own and two step boys. I live in Stratford, OK now in a five bedroom home on 28 acres. I enjoy riding my horses and my motorcycle when I get a chance. My kids keep me busy with sports and other activities. I am pretty much a home body these days but I enjoy doing things such as gardening, and decorating the house. School I went to several different schools McLish, Bowlegs,Wewoka, Seminole, Walker, McAlester, Ada can't remember them all. I finally settled at McLish and graduated there in 1986. College I wanted to get something under my belt so I would not have to work for minimum wage so I went to LPN school at the vo tech in Ada. In 2000, I guess I realized I wanted something more so I went to East Central and recieved a bachelor's degree in social work. social work. I am currently working on becoming licensed in the clinical field of counseling. My goals is to go back and finish becoming a registered nurse I figure with all that it would open alot of doors in life. Workplace I started my adult life selling rainbow vacuum cleaners that was right out of school in Shawnee, OK. Decided to move back and go to school but I wanted to party to much and failed most of my classes. So I worked at Solo Cup for a while then moved to OKC and working as a manager of an apartment complex and then Dillard's in the shoe department. Finally grew up and settled down and went to nursing school and workind 11 years in home health care. Decided I wanted more and now today I am a social worker for a hospice agency, and do outpatient counseling and alot of consulting for home health agencies. What can I say I love taking care of the elderly.
