Kathleen's Story

Life Well, I'm an Oregonian now having lived in Salem, Oregon since 2000. Al and I have been married for over 30 years, and we have 2 married sons, Ryan (28) and Kyle (26) and (gasp), 4 grandkids! We have lived in various places over the years including Vacaville (3yrs), Sacramento (13 yrs) and Roseville (4 yrs) before relocating to Oregon after the passing of my parents. My only sister and her family live close by in Keizer, Oregon. I have worked for the State of Oregon for 3 1/2 years after working for 7 years as an administrative assistant for a CPA. I have had a variety of positions over the years including, assistant manager(store), teaching assistant, PE teacher, office assistant, and accounting secretary. I did have the opportunity to be a stay-at-home Mom for nearly 6 years after the boys were born. We love it here in Oregon. luding camping in our trailer (yes, it is camping). Salem is an hour to the ocean one way and 1/2 to 1 hour to the mountains the other which is great. Al and I had Harley's for a few years but have given up the motorcycles for now. It was fun while it lasted though and I only layed my bike down once (ouch). It was the gravel's fault. We're also active in our local church. I still get to sing in the choir occasionally which I love, and get to do that with one of my sons and and his wife (also an alto) which is cool. Yes, I still say cool. It is fun to be Gramma and Papa as well but I would love to skip the wrinkles and aches and pains that go with that title. You haven't lived until you have taken your grandkids to McDonald's, guess life is very exicting in Salem, lol! Hope to make it to a renuion some day to see everyone. Hey Deb and Gloria you out there? Miss you guys! Oh, and Kim and Linda and.....
