Derek's Story

Life So, what do you want to know? I am married now and my wife and I live in the Palm Aire section of Pompano Beach. I married Jacquelyn Ivy Denenberg on April 8, 2006 in a beautiful backyard wedding at my parents house in Coconut Creek, FL. She was a graduate from Nova High School c/o '90. We met and have been together since April 24, 1998. No kids at this point but we have a really cute Yorkie-Poo named Doodles (born: 6-5-06) I also have a piebald breed of dachshund (white with beige spots like a Jack Russell) named Dudley but he lives with my parents. He was the ring bearer in my wedding. My wife and I love to travel and do quite often...at least twice a year. Usually, a cruise and a road trip of some sort...we love to stay in old bed & breakfasts all over the great U.S.!! I love American History and it's neat to stay in these old houses and feel closer to our great past and early countrymen. ng cruise through Alaska and staying in the famous Seattle "haunted" castle from the tv mini-series, "Rose Red". The castle is actually called "Thornewood Castle". In our travels we've been to Colorado, Washington D.C., New York, Georgia, Michigan, Canada, California, Louisiana, Massachusetts and West Virginia. I'm hoping to collect the entire U.S. : ) For the last ten years I have worked as an office assistant and field runner for a Drywall company in Fort Lauderdale. You are still able to catch me performing around South Florida with my band, The Goodnicks, however, we are currently on hiatus as my guitar player and his wife just had a beautiful baby boy, not to mention, my good friend and bass player/vocalist from the band, Paul Thomas, just moved to North Carolina...so, I guess we've got to find a new bass player.
