Valerie's Story
After high school, I went to SOSU and got a Bachelor's Degree with Elementary Education as my major and Music as my minor. After completing my 1st year of college I married Robert Allen Aplin who is a 1st cousin to the Robert Aplin that we graduated with at Blue High School. During my last year of college I got pregnant with my 1st child. She was born September 25th, 1986. I graduated from SOSU in May of 1987. Got a job, then had my 2nd and final child. to Robert for 25 years. Our 2 kids are grown now of course. My daughter Natalie has been married for 2 years to Billy Blackburn. They are expecting their 1st child in April 2010, my 1st grandchild which I'm really excited about:) My son Kyle works at Indian Nation Wholesale. Both of our children graduated from Rock Creek High School in Bokchito, Ok. We have lived here in Blue for 20 years on the same land that I grew up on as a child. We've been very happy & very fortunate. God has blessed us very much:)
