Phyllis's Story
I have 2 sons and 5 grand children ages 3 through 18. Currently married to the most wonderful husband (see picture of now) for the last 19 years. I have been president of an international standards consulting and auditing company since 1992.
My husband and I love to travel and do family history research at the source. In 2010 we were able to find the house that my great great grandfather grew up in as well as the house that his mother had been raised in. Both are only miles apart in Oldenberg Germany. His is still being used as a home and hers is now a shed for farming equipment. Both are still in good condition considering they are centruies old. Fortunately they were not touch by war.

I hated history when I was in school and now find it much more intersting when actually looking at history archives. It is so amazing what you can find regarding the true local history of the time and place of ancestors. It is also a trail of how we got to where we are in our life.
We have had the opportunity through travel as a part of my job and as a part of our vacation budget to see all but 3 of the United States and have gotten to 9 foreign countries and Puerto Rico and several of the Carribean islands. But when all is said and done (like Dorothy said in Wizard of Oz) "there's no place like home". Travel is fun but coming home is always great to come home to. We both agree this is the best state and country for us.
