Cynthia's Story

Life Got married in 66 moved all over the states with my husband for 20 yrs, he retired. We moved home to Tampa with our two teenager's, they graduated from CHS. My husband went to college and graduated. He was on the Dean's list the entire time. he was earning his RN. We have four grandchilderen so far. Now we only have our four legged babies. One gorgeous Red mixed dobie, and a mixed red lab-Ymarimer ,Itsibitsie ( a baby squirrel)and two precious inside cats and one rescue Mancoon Cat outside. And yes they all get along and play together. The squirrel's a bit confused he thought the dobie is daddy. My Dobie found him after Hurricane Charlie passed through last year, he put him in my hand ever so gently. My dobie has crossed over the rainbow bridge now. He was so tiny, but he's grown now, and what a trip. If the feeder is empty he screams at me when I go out on my enclosed porch. Would like to say Hi to all my friends on classmates, looking forward to the reunion in Oct. 2016, hope to see you all there. Went to the 25th and had a ball, took my teens and dates to it with us. We all had a good time staying there, and doing things. My son filmed the whole thing for me and had a great time. This time is different their all married now, and busy so it's just us going this time. Hope to see yall there. While my husband was serving in the military we were stationed at Great Lakes, lived in Zion, Illinois, then North Carilonia at LaJeune, then Key West, then California Camp Pendleton, then Viet Nam, and I came home, then Birmingham, Alabama and I came...Expand for more
home, then Hawai 3 years and loved iti, then,CoronadaCalifornia , we moved to San Diego, then he went West Pack, I came home, then, San Antinio Texas, back to Tampa, then California, 29 Palms ( the Movae Dessert ) and vacationed alot, We went to Yosimitie, then up to San Francisco for a week. Then up to Kings Canyon to see the Red Woods ( W O W ). While there we got to see a real live Grizzly bear up close and personal. It attacked the garbage container. It sounded like a one sided car crash. Mean while we're in a big nylon tent trying to sleep, well alll the wracket woke me up. The next morning the neighbors (who slept in their big Van) came over to ask if we heard the wracket? I said yes I did but they slept through it all. He then told me we were covered, they all had their rifles aimed at the bear. I thanked them for their troubles and informed him my husband didn't believe me about the bear until he heard him telling me. We visited the Red Woods most of the day and then started back home towrds 29 Palms. Time to move again and we all decided to sight see and camp all the way across to a Dude Ranch and the Grand Canyon then on up to Omaha, Nebraska, so the kids could see snow. Time to move again???? We retired and vacationed all the way home to Tampa but we didn't camp this time. We came home went on one of those 7 day cruises to the Virgin Islands and had a ball, Kids hit adult hood and our new life as grandparents begain. We were married for 53 years, when he passed away on December 15 , 2018.
