Glenn's Story
Life
(in general)
(68 to 71)joined army/...(73) left Whiting,IND and moved to Cullman,Al(with parents)/...(74 to 78) went to college/...(78 to 81)odd jobs/...(81 to 84)re-joined army/...(JAN 85 FATHER DIED)... STAYED WITH MOTHER/...(2003) MOM FELL AND BROKE LEG/...(2004 to 2009...) sold home in Cullman,Al and moved to Vassalboro, Maine where we (my mother/sister Marion and her husband/and myself) bought a home and now reside...i spend most all of my time attending unto my 90 year old mother...in my free time i try to learn how to use my computer that i got in Oct of 2005...
Military (69-70) spent 18 months in Panama Canal Zone...warm tropical breezes...good wine and "grass"...moon-lite night walks on the Atlantic/Gulf beaches ....loved it...loved it...loved it....
(70-71)
spent 12 months in Alaska ...a beautiful and vastly unspoiled wilderness at the time... when one was out in the wilderness in the winter time one could hear the sound of the "crackling in the air" of one's own breath as they breathed out (30,40,50 below zero and colder...brrrrr!...Expand for more
)...i enjoyed the "unreal" silence of the vast expansion of the wilderness thereof when everything was covered with snow...
(82-84)
spent 24 months at Donnersberg,Germany...aaahhh a most excellent experience of my life(having spent 3 years in the infrantry)-living in a "quest-house" instead of barracks-and being in Germany (Europe) and the different "mind-set" of the people compared to the "American-mind-set"-(Europe was...for me ...in many ways that i can not so express in words... an eye-opening and mindfull experience for me...i "SPIRITUALLY-SO-EVOLVED" there)... and my fellow comrades ...Brandon Buckley/Isabelle Downs/Lonnie Williams...and others...that arrived ...as our group (from Fort Gordon,Georgia)...and all the "other" people that i met, worked with, and came to know while i was at D'Berg...i so say unto one and all that Donnersberg was truely a most excellent experience that i will treasure...probably for the rest of my life...so... i so say unto one and all -with a (Bishophs Pilsners) beer in hand..."SKOLLS"...(miss you)...peace...love...happiness ...and joy...unto one and all...
