Michelle's Story
Life
My name is Michelle Elizabeth (Taylor) Black and I live in Oneonta, Alabama. I am 28 years old and got remarried in October of 2006 to my love Jacob. I have a 7 year old daughter named Arian Laine,a 6 yr old step-daughter named Chloe and an almost 5yr step-son named Joey. I grew up in Carrollton, Kentucky for the most part. I have lived in Columbus, OH; Frankfort, KY; and Charleston, SC. I have 2 sisters and one brother, who all live in Carrollton, KY. I have 3 nieces and 4 nephews, all live in KY. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends.
School
I attended Carroll County schools for the most part until I was 14 years old. I graduated here in Oneonta, AL from Appalachian High school in May 1996. I took 3 years of Business Education at the Center for Technology and attended Snead State Community College for one year in Boaz, AL. I also attended Carroll County High for a little while between 1992-1994.

The school system down here was a little different than what I was used to. The grading system is different and the school I attended is very small. We had a graduating class of 33 and the school is K-12 in one building. They don't have a band! I was so shocked. The school I went to is about the size of Cartmell Elementary in Carrollton. Our county is about 5 times the size of Carroll county though, so we have 8 K-12 schools. Seven of these are county schools and then there is Oneonta City School where my daughter attends.
Also when I first moved down here people always asked me to repeat stuff because I talked so different from them. It was kind of weird at first but now when I come to KY to visit I get that reaction up there!!
Workplace
I have been employed with MRDD Services, Inc. for about 5 years now. I started out as an Adm. Assistant then moved to Case Mgr. Assistant and now I am an Internet Marketing Consultant.
