Barbara (Benton)'s Story
Life
Well, I've been busy since the last time I saw everyone. Most of you all know that I married Bruce Kettle in 1971. We had 5 children. I went thru a terrible divorce and jumped into another terrible marriage in 1984. But 'Praise the Lord' I finally met the right man. I guess I should say I finally started listing to the Lord. John Grimsley and I married January 18, 1997. Our family has known each other for years. We just didn't know it until after we met. Since we've been married we have worked together 24/7. The first 4 years we worked for Holiday Retirement Corporation and moved from one facility to the next every 9 months. We became very tired of that and decided to move back to Visalia, CA and open our own Board and Care for the Elderly. We are doing quite well.

all have kids of their own. So I am blessed with lots of grand kids.
My oldest James (31 yrs.) has six boys, Cherry (30 yrs.) a girl 5 yrs, and twin girl and boy 9 mo., Sharon (29yrs) has two boys, Jacque (27 yrs) one boy and her twin bother Chuck (27 yrs) one boy.
My husband John has 3 children and 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
He's only son Rick Grimsley is the police officer who lost his legs if you remember hearing about that in 2001 (I believe). My mom and dad live here in Visalia also. They are doing fairly well. If you remember, my dad drove the bus and was the janitor. He pastored the First Assembly of God in Fleming also.
I'd love to hear from everyone of you. I think about you all often. I'd like to go to another reunion if we could get away.
