Elizabeth's Story
Life
Mick and I are living in Jacksonville. I am an Assistant Principal. He is the owner of NutriLife Wellness Center, a health and wellness company.
I graduated in may with my Masters in Educational Leadership. I am enrolling in school in January to get my Doctorate in Education. Mick has become certified as a Fitness Chef, Wellness and Nutrition Consultant, and a Personal Trainer. He isn¿t quite done with school either.
Our son Jake, our Rottweiler of 8 years, passed away Thanksgiving 2005. We miss him terribly. We rescued Jack, a 4 year old Rotty, from the city pound. We saved his life with just a day to spare. A week later, Jesse came into our lives. He was only 9 weeks old when we got him, also a Rotty. He is a handful! But we love him...Expand for more
deeply. He was rescued from an abusive man, and found his way into our home and hearts. This past August we rescued a dog who did not mix with our two boys. We took him to a pitt rescue and wound up bringing home Sadie. She can't hold her licker! (pun intended) She loves to give kisses. We now have a very full house!
Mick's mother also lives in the yard. We built her a house so that she could be with us and still have some independence. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer¿s last August, just before her husband passed away. We love having her here, although it¿s a full-time job for Mick. But since moving here, she is healthier and her diagnosis of Alzheimer¿s has been reversed to mild dementia. Holistic medicine works!
