Michelle's Story
After I graduated from UCSB I worked in the clothing retail industry. I hated it. I decided to try racing outrigger canoes where I met my first husband and decided to go to Chiropractic College. We were married during school and my son was born 9 months after graduation. We divorced after 5 years of marriage but remain friends and we have a spectacular son who is now 15. 3 1/2 years ago I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful man who was widowed many years before and was raising his daughter by himself. ldren. 2 years ago I closed my chiropractic practice and went to work in pharmaceutical sales. It is a lot of work but I love a regular paycheck. My son is a freshman at Pacifica Christian High School where he runs cross-country, plays basketball and baseball and hopes to play volleyball as well. He is a great student as is my step daughter and they are both very social. My family is my pride and joy and the most important thing in my life.
I always wanted to be a athlete when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
