to 8 sp class at Shell Bank Intermediate School 14 from 1969- 1971 and then graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School in January 1975 at the age of 16. I did very well in school, which included my public school (elementary school) education, intermediate school for 2 years and concluding with high school in 1975 after 3 1/2 years there as well. I graduated on a Friday from High School and started Brooklyn College that Monday. I majored in Special Education and Psychology with a minor in Sociology and graduated from College in 1979. My GPA was 3.75. I was quite pleased with Brooklyn College back then. Now, the College's tuition cost is exorbitant. I've taught in public schools as a special education teacher for many years. I've done volunteer work for Coney Island Hospital, and for the Brooklyn Public Library. As a matter of fact, my Dad has a plaque in the Grand Army Plaza Library for all the years that he had volunteered at the Public Library. Dad had introduced me to the Library's Adult Reading/Writing Learning Center and he had always been my best mentor throughout my life, therefore I also volunteered at the Library as well. I will be returning to College to obtain another Master's Degree after retiring.".
