Danny's Story
Life
Graduated from SDSU in 1972 with BS in Ag ED and received a Commission as a 2LT in the USAF. Entered the AF in August 1972 and received training as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. Graduated from University of Southern California off campus program with a MS Deg in Systems Management in 1980. Married wife Patty 1971: six children, three grandchildren. Retired from US Air Force in Sept. 2002 as a Colonel after 30 years. Worked as support contractor providing Advisory and Assistance Service to the USAF for 12 + years. Have lived in 17 different homes in 10 States. My AF career took me to 47 states, 8 foreign countries and 8 Provinces of Canada. Built a house in Centerville Oh in 2003. It is nice to stay put for a while. Retired for good in May 2015, and enjoying the free time to read and volunteer. Youngest child, Alyssa, received her PHD from at IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis and works at the National Institute of Health in DC area. Son Chad graduated with a BS in Math and Physics from Washington State University and MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. Chad is a Computational Physicist, and lives in Ellicot City Maryland with wife Hui Mein and son Evander. Daughter Rylie has a BS and MS in Chemistry from Univ of Oklahoma, and lives in Madison Wisconsin, working for EPIC in Technical Services. Son Mark received his BS in Political Science from Wright State University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo, lives in Lorain OH with wife Meagan, they have a dance studio and Mark now works for NASA at the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland OH. Son Sean received his BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Toledo and MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Johns Hopkins Univ. Sean lives in Fulton Maryland and works at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab as a Satellite Communications & Computer Networking Systems Engineer.
