Laura's Story
Life
The last 25 years have gone by so fast...I feel like I was just going to school with all of you yesterday. Let's see, I got married to John shortly after graduating from college, worked for a year in S.F. then moved down to Hollister where John and I taught at the same high school. Lived there for 10 years (both of our daughters were born in Hollister). Moved to Minnesota 5 years ago. I miss California, especially my parents, but there are a lot of great things about MN (and no I DON'T want to hear what the temperature in California is today, so stop gloating!). I'm not a teacher anymore, for the past 8 years I've been a corporate-type person (currently working...Expand for more
part-time as a product manager for Conseco Finance).
UPDATE 8/11/2001: I quit my job! Yes, another career change, but maybe for the last time? (ha ha). I'm starting my own small business, a women's fitness center called It Figures. We will do "circuit training" and I hope to open in mid-September. I'll tell you all about it at the reunion!
UPDATE 12/21/2006: More changes! I went back to grad school and got my master's in counseling. I am now working as a school counselor for an on-line school. One daughter is graduating from high school this year, the other is a freshman. John owns a recycling company with his sister. We are still in Minnesota....brrrr....
