Ann's Story
Life
I'm married and have three children, two girls and a boy. My son is the youngest, and is 12. My daughters are 15 and 14. The girls are 11 1/2 months apart in age. Every year they are the same age for 15 days. It's really nice have them so close together in age. All three of my kids are very close. The girls play softball. The oldest is a catcher. Last year she played for our high school and received MVP defense and offense award. This will be the first year my younger daughter will play for high school (freshman.) My son is in 6th grade and is getting ready to go to Science Camp-for five days. He is built like a football player but doesn't play anymore.
My husband works for Toyota in their California Design Studio. He is a Master Modeler/Sculptor. They make clay models of automotive designs submitted by the designers. He plays with clay!
We have a chocolate lab. Her name is Sam...Expand for more
mi. She is 1 1/2 years old and a GREAT DOG.
We live in South Orange County and I love it! It's beautiful down here!
I'm very involved with my family and extremely close to my kids.
I'm always the parent who volunteers when asked/needed. I enjoy gardening and going to the beach. I exercise regularily and work-out in the gym. Some of my close friends, I've known since elementary school & high school. I graduated in 1978 from Torrance High.
Workplace
I'm a para-professional teacher. Currently, I'm working at a high school with 10th & 11th graders in a resource program. Similiar to Special Education. These children have learning impairities. Delayed visual and/or verbal processing. They learn differently. I'm helping them prepare for the California High School Exit Exam. I'm still working on my special education credential. Two of my children go to the same high school where I teach!
