Eva's Story
Life
1986-1988  my first attempt at college  Major: Pre-Med
1989-1991 Â worked as a bookkeeper in Hallettsville by day, and went on the road with a local cover band on the weekends. It was a blast!!
1992-1994 Â finished school at SWT with my sister (Nita) & brother (Paul) Â BBA in Accounting
1995-1997 Â moved to Philadelphia for work as an internal auditor for JCPenney. My area was Wash DC to Maine, and I traveled 90 percent of the time. I got married while in Philly.
1998-1999 Â JCPenney moved me back to Dallas to work in their Tax Department. I bought a house, and earned my CPA.
2000-2006 Â I manage a department for a tax consulting company. We identify and calculate corporate tax credits for FORTUNE 1000 companies across the U.S.
2006- I moved to San Antonio and work for a public accounting firm. My travel is about 75 percent, and I love it!

2000 - I went snorkeling in the Carribean.
2001 - I've been to the top of the World Trade Center (pre-9/11) and at ground zero the day before the last 7-story piece was removed.
Dec. 2002 Â My father, Ed Nichols, passed away after a brief battle with lung cancer (Don't Smoke!). We award an annual scholarship in his name to an senior in H'ville.
2004 - My brother is in the Navy, and did some time in the Arabian Gulf. Before he departed, I took a 3-day cruise on his destroyer (USS Mason) with the rest of his 390 shipmates along the East Coast. We shot the big guns, completed some maneuvers, and went deep sea fishing.
2005 Â My ex-husband and I were divorced. We did not have any children.
2006 - I went snow skiing in Lake Tahoe w/ my brother, Paul.
2009 - I got married again, and finally had my dream wedding at sunset on a Carribbean beach. Bonus: I am also a step-mom now. :)
