To put it mildly, my High School performance at Lee left alot to be desired. Mrs. Scott, my home room teacher, told me that a committee was going to meet to decide if I was going to be allowed to graduate and that I should show up at the graduation with my cap and gown the night of graduation "just in case". That night she told me that the committee felt that "they couldn't do anything more for me if they held me back" and let me graduate. Fortunately, my SAT scores were good, so I was able to get into Houston Baptist College. I continued to have problems in school, but always felt that I knew more than my test scores indicated. Only recently have I realized that my problem was extreme Attention Defecit Disorder. It took six years for me to complete my education at Houston Baptist because I worked my way through college. Along the way, one of my jobs was to draw blood early in the morning at Memorial Baptist Hospital, Southwest.
