Patrick's Story

To put it mildly, my High School performance at Lee left alot to be desired. Mrs. Scott, my home room teacher, told me that a committee was going to meet to decide if I was going to be allowed to graduate and that I should show up at the graduation with my cap and gown the night of graduation "just in case". That night she told me that the committee felt that "they couldn't do anything more for me if they held me back" and let me graduate. Fortunately, my SAT scores were good, so I was able to get into Houston Baptist College. I continued to have problems in school, but always felt that I knew more than my test scores indicated. Only recently have I realized that my problem was extreme Attention Defecit Disorder. It took six years for me to complete my education at Houston Baptist because I worked my way through college. Along the way, one of my jobs was to draw blood early in the morning at Memorial Baptist Hospital, Southwest. I became fascinated with the idea that you could tell so much about what was happening in someone's body from their blood and urine and decided to buckle down and...Expand for more
try to get into Medical School. The wonderful people at Houston Baptist had more faith in me than I did in myself and constantly encouraged me to keep trying. Once I found my passion for medicine I did much better in school and, thanks to the Grace of God, was accepted at Baylor Medical School in Houston and at U.T. Medical School in San Antonio. After much prayer, I accepted a place in the new and largely unknown U.T.M.S.S.A. It was there that I met my ex-wife Margaret Becker. We were married in 1976 and had two wonderful sons, Patrick III and Brian. After completing an Internal Medicine internship and residency, I opened a practice near the Medical Center where I have practiced for 30 years. I also founded Texas Medical Research Associates, L.L.C. and have been the Principal Investigator on hundreds of clinical research studies. My work helped bring many well known medications and vaccines to market and my work on Tamiflu in the treatment of Influenza is referenced by the CDC. I have been the author of several of the studies. Needless to say, it's been quite a ride from my days at Lee!

Scott Weiner is the guy that wrote Cali-fornication’s Senate Bill 145 making it OK for a 24 year old man to have anal sex with your 14 year old son. Very Progressive, wouldn’t you say?
