Melissa's Story
Life
After finishing my Associates at ABAC (1999), I went on to GA Southern. Lived in the 'Boro for two years with Lauren Hankinson (now Massey) and graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice Studies (2001). I worked for the Worth County Department of Family and Children's Services as a Child Protective Services Investigator for 2 1/2 years and got completely burned out. I still didn't know what I wanted to do, but decided that I *definitely* did not want to do that anymore. No more Sylvester crack houses and child molesters for me!! hehehe
I went to work with the attorney who represented the agency as a legal assistant for a year and have been a stay-at-home wife...Expand for more
since 2004. I enrolled in graduate school at VSU to get my Master's but have yet to finish. I got to do a lot of traveling, which I LOVED...my first flight EVER was a 14 hour flight from Atlanta to Russia. Xanax, anyone? hehehehe
I have one beautiful son and plenty of pets. Well, case studies, really! Two dogs, Sassy (who takes puppy prozac twice a day) and Rags (permanently chilled out); Four -- yes four -- cats: Sunny (usually only seen slinking out of sight), Rhu Bear (the most beautiful fur ball ever), Maggie (who adopted me in S'boro--crotchety ol' broad) and last, but certainly not least--Tripod. Yes, he only has 3 legs.
