Allan's Story

Life Widower with one daughter, Hornor Roll Student. I have been Self Employed Going on 15 yrs. Moved out of Inglewood/Leimert Park areas 21 years ago. I have been a (BAG) Christian for the past 30 Years. It has dramatically changed my life and my families life for the good. I'am planning a move to the East Coast in 2013, California has gone through, too many changes over the past 30 years. This state is on a immoral slide. The States politics and politicians are twisted. Now they are responsible for bankrupting the state. Work Experiences! From Probation Officer 16yrs LACO, Long Hall Truck Driver for Swift, Roadrunner and Albertsons. To working for Burlington Northorn Santa Fe Railroad as a Swithchman Brakeman and Locomotive Engineer. I have done and accomplished more than I thought I would ever accomplished at this period of my life. None has been more rewarding than being in business for myself and having a sweet loving daughter. I continually strive towards excellence and improving my core values with an emphasis on the meaning of truth which the Bible teaches. I believe that truths is not what you want it to be, it is what is. It's not a viewpoint, feeling or an emotion. The vast majority of people in this country do not know what truth is, or where to find it! A good start, Oswand Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest would be a good start. Raised Leimert Park a Los Angeles suburb, early 60's. (In the 80's renamed The Hood.) It was called West LA, now known as South Central? An area bordered by View Park and Baldwin Hills. Crenshaw a popular Blvd starts at Wilshire Blvd, and runs to Pacific Palisades a 25 mile streach. Better known as (The Crenshaw Strip.) Leimert Park was a vibrant community in the early 1960's before the 1965 Watts and 1992 Rodney King Riots. I always wanted to be a sucessful when I grew up. My family and friends thought that I was intellegent. As it turns out, they were right. How do you blow off steam? Describe your favorite way to relax. Park at a San Diego County Beach and watch the Seagul and Surf crash against the beach. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a clear conscience, neat, and clean area to be able to deal with the day-to-day. Which teacher would you love to see again? Why? Mr. West, was a teacher and Audubon Junior, and Crenshaw High Schools. Mr. West loved the kids, he loved me to the point of getting a swat or get suspended for something stupit I did, I cant rememner what it was. But I can still remember and feel the swat. To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? Well at this stage of my life, I would be in Boston with mi daughter, Hamlet and Calli watching the four seasons change. What happened to your first crush? Jackie Turo, I don't know what happened to Jackie? What's the weirdest job you ever had? Working for the Railroad, I almost had gotten killed a couple of times! You get one do-over. What do you do differently? I would have married a God fearing True Christian Woman. What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? That I was dumber than a bag of rocks in Junior and High School. I remember being in the dummy classes, you know (Speical Training). My...Expand for more
self esteem was sub level and I wondered if I would ever be smart like the other kids around me at the timel Share a childhood memory you'll never forget. Living on Vineyard off of Adams in Los Angeles in 1956. Listining to KGFJ in the mornings while my mother and father were getting ready for work. Walking home form Elementary School. Vinyard Street School with another boy, and being chased by a meat cleaver wheelding China Man, not know that the boy I was with had stole something form the mans market. And seeing my mother with another lady in a car coming to my rescue. Do you have a hero? Talk about where your inspiration comes from. My Uncle and Grandmother. My Grandmother tought me to read the Bible and to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My uncle was a high achiever who worked with JPL in Pasadena on Space and Luner projects. Classic Automobiles and Hamlet my Cat. The wildest this that I ever did in school, well it was placing a firecracker in a scoop of mashed potatos in the lunch area on top of a table, and lighting it. I crawled under the lunch tables and regretably watched ever one get showered with, you know! I really felt stupid when every one focused on me. I was lucky that I did not get punched in the nose. That you have to be a good roll model, and practice what you preach. Be your best, look your best, and do your best! If I won $100 million, I'd give 10 percent of it to the lords work, then spend the rest on savings, travel and nothing else. I was president of my college dorm at Cal Poly Pomona and Program Director for KCPK Radio on Campus. My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong. Work til the day I die! There is no such thing a retirement for me! My best friend would tell you I'm soft, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as hard as nails. Italian Suits, Italian Shoes, Cuff Links. Only the best, to look your best I say! No cheep stuff class all the way! I share my home with my daughter and two cats, Hamet and Calli, which I find to be very ineresting.. In 10 years, I hope to be living in the Cape. I'm going to get there by Keeping my nose to the grine stone.. Me in 1966 Leimert Park California Loyce Crisp, father of Covelli Crisp the Baseball Player for the Red Socks. Met Loyce from the neighborhood, looked like a little church mouse. He was so short, I use to look down on the top of his head. He could play a mean game of Ping Pong! My first job was at Midas Muffler, where I got paid 40 dollars to stack and arrange mufflers in a small garage, Mufflers were all over the place. It took me sometimes 4 hours to arrange. What I remember most about it is A Hells Angel Biker liked me, and convienced the manager to give me the job of organizing the shop. I liked Roy, he road a Chopper!. Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise? Living in a 99 percent White area Leimert Park in the sixties and riding the freight elevators in the Broadway and May Co. department stores. I had an unusual life, and still to this day, it is a very unusual life for me my daughter and my two cant Hamlet and Calli.
