Diana's Story
Come visit me on myspace, Diana Havens or mslanacane.
I sure hope that everyone had fun in school. For me personally, I considered myself a social retard that was paralyzed by fear of rejection, and for the love of all that is holy, lets not forget the struggle with my dyslexia. Yah, I did have fun too!
What I remember the most are the Camino years, I remember families (Pratt, Meyers, Garrett, Gonzales, Norwood, Shivley, Williamson, Smith, Arundall, Fritzmire, Gossner, Bryant, Gray, Hord, Christianson, Hugo, Hess, Reading, White, Ousley, Miller, Chaney, Granthem, Bethel, Karmer, Beetle, Wilson, Eddy, Lane, Masiko, Rasmuson, Owens, Shea, I remember all of you guys from Camino), back then everyone had a older or younger sib.. I remember being chosen in the first picks at recess for teams. I remember 7th and 8th grade, sports. I remember all my teachers, I also remember liking them. My favorite teachers were Mr. Pierson & Mr. McGlothen. My favorite bus driver Mr. Petterson.
HS, that was scary and the best advice on being a freshman came from Pam Gray's older sister, "don't wear new clothes the first couple of weeks of school". It worked for me, as a lot of freshmen from other schools, thought I was an upperclassmen. As far as my education at El Dorado, it was worth every tax dollar my parents paid. My favorite teacher Mr. Nelson.

ittle league and Babe Ruth. Why is this important, the biggest thing I participated in at El Dorado, was "boy watching 101". It did not matter if I was noticed, I always figured if you interacted with them (boys), you could eventually figured them out.
What still amazes me is how often I find myself thinking of the following people: David Botnen, Joanne Foy, Jackie Byrant, Roberta Morris, Carolee Arundel, Ron Dostart, Karen Carrick, Pam Gray, Jack & Sandy Pratt.
Life as it is:
I met my hubby in March of 1985, and on April Fool's Day 1986, soul mates married, combined we have 3 children and 13 grandchildren and life is good. Yes after 23 years of marriage, we are still in love, we are settled into our life.
Yes, I still considered myself a social retard, but these days I don't care if I get rejected.
So far the only thing I can say is:
Life is like kneeling with spars on, it can be a pain in the butt, and it sometimes leaves permanent scars.
For upper classmen and others wanting to know about my brother Carl. He and his family are missionaries in the Philippines. He has a beautiful wife (the size of a sugar wafer), three sons which will exceed his height of six three. He is happy now that he has retired from US Air Marshall Service (Federal Government) and glad to finally be doing the Lords work. I have his web address on myspace page.
I would love to hear from anyone.
