Mark's Story
Life
After high school I went into the Air Force for six years. I was stationed at Ft. Benning, GA 87-88 where I met my wife Julie. We were then sent to Fulda, W. Germany 88-91 where our daughter was born in 90 and I deployed to Desert Storm. We were then sent to Ft. Stewart, GA. where I got out to attend school. e Nurse and me in surgical supply. In 96 we moved to Culloden, GA. about 20 miles west of Macon, GA. I currently work for the Georgia Forestry Commission as a Wildland Firefighter and also for a county fire department as an EMT/Firefighter. In 2002 I went to Oregon to fight the "Biscuit Fire" in Selma, OR. This fire was 495,000 acres. In March of 2003 I went to Nacadoches,Texas to help recover peices of the space shuttle Columbia.
