Fred's Story

Life Now I have to update again (November, 2007), since so many things have changed. I spent the last two years in the DC area on assignment to the Missile Defense Agency. At the end of the assignment I had the option of staying with MIT/Lincoln Laboratory or returning to Georgia Tech and coming back to Huntsville, AL. I opted for the best opportunity and came back to Huntsville and went back to work for the Georgia Tech Research Institute as a Principal Research Engineer. I am married and have 4 children. Believe it or not but I have been able to keep Barbara fooled for almost 29 years now. As for the children; the oldest 2 are out of college, with the oldest, Henry, working on his PhD in cognitive psychology at the University of Alabama, the second, Ruth, is in Antarctica as part of the logistics team...Expand for more
(Raytheon) working for the National Science Foundation getting things ready for the winter over folks, next for her will be to figure out what she wants to do for the next couple of years when she gets back in the spring, the next two are going to school at Brigham Young University out in Utah, Randy is studying Geography with an emphasis on land use planning and geo-physical information services, Carol is studying Speech Pathology and Audiology and also working on American Sign Language (ASL) translation. In 2001 we returned to the states (Huntsville, AL) from living in the middle of the Pacific, halfway between Hawaii and Australia, in the Marshall Islands. Drop me a note, I would really enjoy catching up on old times and I'll tell you how I ended up living in the middle of nowhere and all over the states.
