Life I initially moved to Austin, and attended UT for 3 semesters, until the Dean said I couldn't earn any credits sitting in the Student Union, watching girls. I disagreed, and we parted ways. I worked around in the Restaurant biz, got married, then got a scholarship to UT Dallas, for Hotel/Rest Mgt. Spent 2 years in Dallas, married and had our 1st, Jared in 1984, then Erik in 1985, then moved to Phoenix, then bought a restaurant in Bay City, Tx (mom's home town). Spent 3 years there, had Scotti (#3) in 1987, then moved back to Austin for a while, went to work for Hilton as Food & Beverage Director. Stayed there for 2 years, went to Olive Garden for 2 1/2 years, then got divorced, and was a single Dad for 5 years. Lets see.... 1990,91,92 yea...92 Went to work for Cracker Barrel and stayed with them for 7 years as a GM. Was in Tenn, NC, MS, TX, AL, FL, then in 1999, back to NC. 1st time in NC, met a great gal who was not scared away by 3 kids. Cool deal!!!! Beth has followed me all over the country, raised my 3 boys, and been really understanding about a guy who doesn't know where the hell he wants to live! In 2000, I retired from the Rest.
