Life
Well let's see... after high school I spent a year at North Texas State University because my parents wanted me to go. I got a PhD in partying and the school and I mutually decided to see other people. Moved back to Dallas and spent a year dating and working. Ended up having a kid by accident at age 20. 2 years later we moved to Phoenix, AZ. We spent six years there doing nothing important except enjoying the sunshine and avoiding being baked alive. I met my current boyfriend on the internet in 96 and we had a long distance relationship worthy of Hollywood. On what I thought was our last breakup I decided I needed to move back to PA and fix my relationship with my father because surely this was why I had such bad luck with guys in my life. Living with Dad lasted 2 weeks because I've never gotten along with my stepmother. I moved to Georgia to live with my mom while I pulled myself back together, then moved to NJ to be with the boyfriend from the Net. I've been in NJ ever sinc...Expand for more
e. Not my first choice of states to live in, but at least our relationship has lasted. He's a musician and graphic designer - owns his own company and works out of the house. I also worked on the web from home until I was laid off in 2005. Now I work for Pearson Prentice Hall, a textbook publisher, as a Production Editor. I'm the one that's commitment phobic which is why we're not married. My mom lives in Austin now so I've been back to Texas a few times. Took the kid up to PESH to show her my old school - that was fun. She's learning guitar from the boyfriend and wants to go to Musician's Institute in CA next year after she graduates high school. We attend rock concerts together and consider ourselves the original Gilmore Girls. It's actually a bit weird how much our lives have paralleled that show.
