Hi long lost Jacksonites! Went on this site to see if I recognized anyone.....Thought I'd write this wee bio in case anyone else looked in.....
My long story short: Went to Cape Town, South Africa in 87 to visit family for a few months, started a business importing sunglasses and ended up staying for 13 years. Loved it there for the surfing, beach life, people and weather! Had some fantastic adventures and travelled a lot through different parts of Africa. had enough of the smog and crappy weather so decided to get out. My company can be based anywhere so we made the leap out west in winter 05. Bought a house in Kelowna, BC on Lake Okanagan. Very glad we made the move as you just can't beat the weather and lifestyle out here! Pretty mellow life with a lot of skiing in the winter and boating, mountain biking and camping in the summer. The classic "work hard, play hard" life. Sort of like living and working at the cottage! Have two sons, Cameron 3 and Joshua 20 months. Awesome being a Dad! That's about it in a nutshell.
