Karen's Story
Life
I took a year off of school after high school, then went to Waubonsee starting in the summer of 2001. I got my associates' degree in general studies with a major in massage therapy. I moved to Lynwood in July of 2003, and married my high school sweetheart, Andrew that August 8th. I still live in a condo in Lynwood and am a licensed massage therapist. I work in a day spa in Flossmoor. I have 2 dogs, a black lab named Lucky (male) and a Jack Russel Terrier named Reese (female...and yes, she is named after Reese Witherspoon!) I also have a black cat named Olivia. I drive a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (we bought that on our 2 year anniver...Expand for more
sary). It's nice, but the gas mileage isn't so great. Oh, and last April my husband FINALLY converted me from a Cubs to a White Sox fan! Just in time to see them win the world series! Let's see the Cubs do that! I love being a Sox fan, and I totally LOVE Jon Garland! (both of us learned that the Sox are soooo much better!!!)
So in my spare time, I love to listen to music, spend time with friends and family (though I never get out to Sandwich or Yorkville anymore....) and watch Sox games. No kids yet! I chickened out when a friend of mine got pregnant, so I am in absolutely no hurry whatsoever! I'm happy just with my husband and my pets.
