Sandra's Story
When I was in high school I was quite shy. Transferring from a school district in Floral Park in my Junior Year was difficult. I found friends that I enjoyed getting to know and started to spend time with them.
Attending classes especially Chemistry was actually fun and helped me meet other classmates. My fondest memories were of school plays, watching, not participating. Football games were events I looked forward to.
After graduating, I attended Mt. Sinai Shool Of Nursing. That particular career wasn't for me but Liberty Mutual Insurance Company was happy to hire me. From there I got married to a fellow Massapequ...Expand for more
a High Graduate and had two daughters. After many years my marriage ended, my daughters left for college and got graduate degrees. They married college sweethearts and had their own children. Now I enjoy my times with my 5 grandchildren aged 16 yrs. to 18 months. This past week I turned 65 yrs. old am single once again but enjoying life on life's terms.
My current home is in Chesapeake Virginia. The winters are certainly milder than on LI and I'm glad not to shovel snow. Since my mother and sister still live on the Island I return "home" several times a year. Hopefully I'll hear from some friends from Massapequa High.
