After South High, I went to the US Air Force Academy for two years...unfortunately, low grades cost me...I left there in 1974. I married Paulette Gondek in Feb ’76 and our daughters Kris and Kim were born in Cleveland. Subsequently, I re-joined the Air Force in 1978. I was stationed in North Dakota (7 yrs),central California (10 yrs) and finally Colorado Springs, CO (26 yrs and counting)...where I retired in 2004. I received an Associate's degree in Missile Maintenance Technology, 1987, completed a BS in Applied Management from National American University, May '04 and finished an MS in Space Operations Management at Webster Univ in 2007. I started out maintaining missile systems in Minot, ND, then worked R&D for a new missile in California. I then transitioned to space systems and processed launch vehicles and satellites for a couple years. After that, I went into management of organizations operating and controlling satellites we launched. Along the way I spent time in Korea supporting one of our units. AND, if that wasn't enough I also spent several months in Iraq during Desert Storm. That ended my west coast time and we came to Colorado where I tested missile and space systems the Air Force operates/maintains. During my Air Force career, I took advantage of opportunities for international travel; worked on programs that took me to many locations in Russia (the Arctic Circle in Feb isn't the garden spot of the world...), the Ukraine, France and Kazakhstan. I've traveled all over the country for the Air Force also. I retired in 2004 after 28+ years. I married Paulette (class of '74) in 1976.
