Phaedra's Story
Life
Hello everyone. I attended Anissa's (my sister) 20 year reunion (LHS class of 1986)and I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in 20+ years. I decided to list my info on this page since I have had virtually little to no contact with classmates. Well, I am married with four children and God has truly blessed us to see the world and experience places and cultures I use to only read about. My husband is in the Army and I am a veteran of the Army myself and between the both of us we have been from Germany to Hawaii to Alaska and a lot of places in between. Now, that's a lot in 20+ years. Some of it was duty stations and some were vacations. I normally visit Port Arthur every 2 to 3 years to see the family.
My career...it changes when we move but I am now working for the VA. Our kids are growing fast. The oldest is in the 11th grade followed by a 7th, 6th and 5th grader. baby girl is a cheerleader and dancer. What have I been doing? Being a wife and mother; traveling around the world with my husband. That's about it and I thank God for my life and family and hope to reconnect with classmates real soon.....Phaedra
Military
I joined the Army in 1986. I did Basic and AIT at Ft. Jackson. I than PCS'd to Ft. Ord...party, party, party...now I am on my way to Germany but got side tracked to Ft. Leonard Wood...now I am finally on my way to Mannheim Germany...more partying but wait.... I meet the love of my life, Paul...fun, fun, fun...Oh oh baby on the way...it's a girl. Now Operation Desert Shield starts and I am on my way to Ft. Hood and Paul is stuck in Germany..they say you have to go to Saudi Arabia...I just had a baby...it's time to get out and I am honorably discharged in 1991. Now I am a civilian and guess what...I still get to travel with Paul...Ft. Carson, Schofield Barracks, Ft. Campbell, Ft. Wainwright and Ft. Benning (2005 he decideds to be a Drill Sergeant...ugh)...hey, it isn't as bad as people say it is.
