Karen's Story
I am retired and belong to Cheshire Quilters' Guild and quilt with 2 friends at my house 1 day a week.. Over the years I have gone in many different directions, taking classes, and looking for my passion. I found it in quilting! This is not to say I didn't enjoy painting, cake decorating, calligraphy, playing bridge, and analyzing handwriting! For a time, I was a Justice of the Peace for a few years which gave me a lot of stories!
I have stayed around Keene since school and watched my children, grandchildren and great grandson grow, as well as the city of Keene. We live just outside...Expand for more
of Keene now, surrounded by very few neighbors, but lots of wildlife. We have a pet chipmunk who comes when we call and sits in our hands and eats! She's adorable, and no litter box!
I love playing cards with a couple of classmates, and keeping in touch with others! I have a 6 year old tuxedo cat named Freddy who is spoiled rotten!
I watch the Red Sox and Nascar, and right now, Blue Bloods is my favorite show. I also enjoy reading and making puzzles, but the old eyes aren't what they used to be!
I did join the Keene Senior Center, which oddly enough, is in my old house in Court St.!
