Life Welcome Maybe I know some of you, and some will probably have to give me flashback events to remember. My name is Marie I Grau and I left Broadway Jr. High School in '78. I moved to Puerto Rico in June '78 because of family problems. I've been living here ever since. At the time I didn't mind as I had a lot of bad times growin' up in Newark, but then gettin' use to a new culture (I am Puerto Rican, but a Newark raised PR is not the same as a PR raised), wasn't so hot. Now I can say I'm pure bred, Ha, Ha! Well 29 years have sure taught me a lot about life and so did the other 10 years of growin' up in Jersey. My fisrt four years of life were PR to New York then back to PR then Newark - PR and at the age of 4 a definit stay in Newark. I had gone to Roberto Clemente Elementary School than graduate sixth grade to head for Broadway that is Broadway Jr. High. Life in Puerto Rico had its ups and downs like I know many of you must have had. Finished junior high in Franisca Davila Semprit. High school was great, but which I'd done better. I'll never forget "El Corillo" from Pedro Albizu Campos. I studied in Escuela de Artes Plasticas in San Juan. Yes I'm an artist. I paint, sculpt and do other things.
