Donna's Story
Life
What am I up to now? Working a lot. I accidentally ended up in a pretty decent career (digital pre-press, which means I spend a lot of time in front of a computer) that I had absolutely no training for and now am pretty damned good at it. I have two kids, both going to the University of North Texas so naturally, I'm broke a lot of the time.
My weekends are booked because *somehow* I ended up on the shadowcast of Rocky Horror Picture Show here. That's right. Here I am, 48 years old and ALL of my friends are under 30. Actually, since I don't really like people my own age because they all seem so damned old, it works for me.
Oh yeah.. I was married (thus the kids) but no longer. Have been on my own for about 5 years. Kinda like it. Kinda don't.
High School
I remember a lot of the names I've seen on here but doubt any of you remember me and that's cool. I did not go out of my way to hang out with most of you. I blame the 'new kid' thing. I was a Navy brat and by the time I got to CK I was on my 17th school and a...Expand for more
chieved nirvana. No wait... that wasn't nirvana that was me realizing that, once again, I didn't want to make any real friends because I knew we would just move again and they would be gone. Kinda sucked. A lot. It's weird the things I do remember from CK. Most having to do with choir since that was the only class I really gave two shits about. SO... if you were in choir I probably remember you.
I really seem to talk WAY too much. Drop me a line if you like.
College
I have enough credits that I should have two degrees in something but I don't. I went back to school about 10 years ago and ended up on the Dean's list and president of the local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (two year school honor society)... Yeah, I know...weird. If I had gone to college straight from CK I would have flunked out. I guess that's the difference between going to school because it's expected and going to school because you want to. You will be glad to know that I am NOT using any of the skills learned in college in my present job... go fig.
