Ann's Story
After graduating from Northwestern, I married my husband whom I met there. He was in the Navy so he traveled and I taught High School English in Virginia Beach, VA. When he went to Vietnam for a year, I moved home with my folks and taught at Bensalem Township High School. After the Navy, Jack joined CCA in Chicago and we have been a corporate family since. We have lived in Chicago and St. Louis three times. The music stopped here in St. Louis and we like it. We have two children, a son and daughter and they have two children each. John has two sons and Emily has two daughters. Olive, the youngest is 6 months old.
I have taught high school, then got my masters in Early Childhood and Elem. Ed and taught preschool. Then got advanced training in infant mental health and was the Exec. Director of a Family Resource center in Oak Park, IL. We lived there 14 years. Our kids gr...Expand for more
aduated from OPRF. 13 years ago we moved back to St. Louis. Live on the same street we left 14 years before that. I am self-employed serving as a contract worker for the Missouri School for the Blind working with families with children birth through 5 who have a visual impairment. I also train teachers and service providers working with that age group.
Jack and I ride a tandem and we have ridden in France, Tuscany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic. This past summer we cruised on the Danube at night and rode during the day through Austria, Bratislava and into Hungary ending in Budapest.
I am very interested in our Repertory Theatre here (couldn't you guess) I have served as their volunteer board president and I am now on their board of directors. Although I did community theatre in my twenties and thirties, I am no longer performing. I do miss the dancing however.
