Lisa's Story
After graduation, I began college at Tri State University, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. That didn't last and I switched my major to Mechanical Engineering. It took a while, but I realized that engineering was not for me. I withdrew in the winter of 1993.
Many moons later and jobs for that matter, I returned to University at Ball State. I finally graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems. I accepted a position at my Alma Mater as ...Expand for more
a Systems Analyst at Bracken Library and worked there for eight years.
I married Andrew Chambers, who is from Rensselaer, IN, in July of 2003. We do not have any children.
In March of 2008 my husband and I decided to switch careers together. We both obtained our Commercial Drivers Licenses and we are both now Truck Drivers. It pays more than our college educations combined. We've traveled through every state in the contiguous United States except Vermont. Life really is stranger than fiction.
