Hey from down south! Living in metro-Atlanta was never even on my radar when living in Cambridge! Chester and I married in 1976 and were happy to live in Cambridge. But NCR's going out of business in Cambridge and relocating in Duluth GA turned our lives upside down. Chester and I and our two wonderful kids, Mary and Vince, journeyed down in July 1992 with our pets Charlotte the dachshund and Bill the cat. My dear brother Mark (aka Grub) died 10 days later and we had to head back up for the funeral. Since then, the kids have grown up, getting a fine education along the way. Both went to Furman University and graduated. Mary was married last summer to hubby Todd Cartee and they live in Vancouver, BC Canada - where the winter Olympics were! Waaayyyy too far away!! Mary and Vince are both pursuing masters degrees - Mary at UBC (Univ. of British Columbia)in education and Vince at UGA in music. I had a couple bouts of thyroid cancer in the mid-1990s, and needless to say, frightening ups and downs along the road. I got better. ( The pets passed on in 2005.) ...Expand for more
