Got a place in Valpo. Just resigned from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. 32K a year and 55-60 hr weeks for two years with a four year degree just wasn't getting it done for me. Luckily after four days of unemployment, careerbuilder.com bit on my resume that I posted online. After the interview, they made me an offer. Now I'm moving to the city for a MUCH BIGGER PAYCHECK!
If anyone is listening, GET OUT OF VALPO!!!
There are so many more opportunities to bank in the city, it's ridiculous. Plus like 40% of our graduating class either OD'd on some drug or is locked up in the pen right now. No reason to stay. Unless you already have a family of your own.
After gaining more sales and management experience with this new opportunity I plan on going into business,...Expand for more
maybe back here in Valpo, only because startup costs are way cheaper in Indiana. I cannot reveal my plan but you will know if and when it does happen.
Well, for anyone who decided to read this profile, I wish you luck and hope you are doing well. Its nice to hear at least an occasional success story out of WHS Class of 99.
If you're doing something you don't like or can't stand, LEAVE. There is always something else out there. I got stuck in the sinkhole known as Enterprise for way too long and didn't snap out of it until just recently. Don't waste any more of your time if you have a shitty job. Get your resume together and always keep it updated. No reason to drive yourself crazy over a job. Work hard, play hard, baby. It's the only way to do it.
