Stephanie's Story
Life
Life is treating me well. I graduated from CU in Denver after playing basketball at Mesa State for 3 years. I graduated with a B.A. in English, which was completely unexpected. At first I was going to go into journalism, and then I wanted to be an elementary teacher...and then I just wanted to be done with college the quickest way I could, so I changed my major to English.
Now, I am married and living in Colorado Springs. My husband is a firefighter at Peterson Air Force Base, and I am a middle school Language Arts teacher in Falcon (which is right outside of Colorado Springs). Sometimes I think I am crazy for teaching middle schoolers...I was never that bad...never. Yes, I am lying. Everyday is a new adventure, and one thing is for sure, I am never bored.
I am also the JV basketball coach at Falcon High School, and I am absolutely loving it. My first season just ended, bu...Expand for more
t it really was one of the greatest experiences. It is so weird to be the once coaching sometimes, and not the one playing. I love it all the same. I go out and play with the girls all the time, and they get a kick out of it. They don't so much love when I'm running them to the ground, but they realized towards the end of the season how thankful they were. I look forward to taking them to team camp this summer and playing in some leagues down here.
Aside from that, I am a boring person. My mom is still in Basalt, and my brother is in Fort Collins at CSU. I have two Beagles and they are absolutely crazy, but I could not live without them.
