Keith's Story

Life Well, after HS I went to UNT for a while. 'Went' being the keyword, as 'study' was not really in my plans at the time. I jumped around a bit from job to job, always staying in the DFW area, until I discovered that my natural geekiness and love of all things computer could turn into a career. :) Like many others, I got hit hard by 9/11 and lost a good job to layoffs when business went south. I was under-employed for about 7 months before I finally landed a consulting gig with Capital One Auto Finance. Currently, I am the IT Manager for a tax appraisal firm in Dallas (the oldest in the state, and one of the oldest in the country), and I also own a web hosting company and a consulting company. That, along with my wife and 2 kiddos makes for a fairly busy life. I am a big Dave Ramsey fan (for those that know him), so my family is currently working on becoming debt free. eeling to pay off credit cards - just FYI. I love being able to tell those sorry suckers what they can do with their precious interest rates..... Oh yeah, no chopper or leather to go with it (per above options), but I have enough toys to go around and am quite happy overall. :) School I have so few memories of high school (old age maybe?), but I do remember that my AP English teacher (Mrs. Teer) was a great teacher. She really inspired me to attempt writing, and although I have never completely followed through it is not something that has been given up on. As with many of you, I moved a lot due to being in a military family (13 schools in 12 years), so I made a mistake at Ellison. I thought 'I don't care about this school - it is just one more in my list', so I never bought a yearbook. Now I wish I had one so that I could share some of my highschool memories with my family. C'est la vie, eh?
