Amy's Story

Well, lets see here. My husband, Greg, and I have been together for over 10 years now. I am a stay at home Mom of two angelic kids. Taylor is my oldest. She is the most sweetest, loveable, kid that I know. Taylor is always wanting to please and help others. She is very smart for her age and I, in, no way take credit for that. She loves her books and playing on the computer. She is always wanting to learn something new. Playing outside is one of her least interest. Which is really strange, but that is who she is. She has her own personality and likes things her way. She is very unique and I wouldnt have it any other way. Brody is my eldest. He is what I would call, my ownry love bug. He is a tough little guy, yet is always ready for someone to rescue him when he falls or gets hurt. He is definetly a Mommy's boy. He loves to be outside and riding his bike and trying new tricks. He is all about outside sports and running around. My kids are so different from one another, yet quite the same. As you can probably tell, I am all about my kids. My kids are my life. I have been by their side through it all since the day they came into this world. I have not worked in quite some time. I deticated my last 10 years to my kids. I am hoping to try to find a job once they are old enought to go to school on their own or when babysitters become cheaper, which ever one comes first. but with the economy and everything, I will most likely have no luck. Plus with the kids' schedule, it will be hard to keep a job that is willing to work with their schedule as well as mine. For the past 8 years, I have not changed all that much. Of course, I have matured quite a bit. But other than that, I am still the same Amy. My goal in High School is still the same then as it is now. Make others happy and be there for those who need it the most. I have always put others before myself. That is just something that I believe in. Worry about others now and then take care of my worries later. I am a great listener and I love helping those around me. I have never been able to say no to anyone. Even if it the smallest favor to the biggest favor. If I cant fix it the problem, I find someone that can. I never leave anything unfinished. It may seem that these past 12 years, that I have accomplished nothing. But I truly believe that I have accomplished so much and I have plenty more work to do. I believe in helping others. And that is what I have done. And though I do not get a pay check for what I do. I do believe that I do get paid for what I do through gratitude, a sign of relief, or just seeing the weight of ones shoulder finally let loose. I love seeing the sastifaction in others. I love making other people happy. And that for me is that most sastifying, wealthiest, heart warming pleasure that anyone can have. I am proud of where I came from, where I have been, and where I am going. I regret nothing that I have done in this life so far. Because even though I have made plenty of mistakes and do wish that I would have done some things differently, I couldnt be more happier than I am now. I have full control of my destiny. I have made choices throughout the years, good and bad. And all I have to say about that is, good or bad, I have done something great with my life and that was having my two wonderful kids. They are and will always be, my miracle and my happiness. I am doing my best by them, and that is all I can do. I am in no way, perfect and ...Expand for more
never will be. But I know in my heart that my kids do not expect perfection. They just want to be kids and be happy. And I will always give my all to them. For they are my life. I always wanted to be a Mom when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. I love sitting and watchin a movie with my kids. We grab the popcorn, some juice and snacks. I love just relaxing and cuddling with my babies. Other ways to relax is sitting outside, watchin my kids run, laugh and play. I also like to just sit at my kitchen table and just write. It would be anything from writing a poem, song lyrics, or just a letter. All my inspiration comes from my parents. They raised six kids. And no matter how hard times were, it never seemed to show on anyone face. We had everything. Or so we thought. We were never hurting for anything. My parents worked hard at everything to make a family of 8 survive. And we did. Law and Order SVU, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Criminal Minds, Real House wives of OC, House, Golden Girls. And believe me there is plenty more! If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a bedroom. My dream home would be a 4 bedroom, single family home. I have learned to be more patient. Love can spread like a virus. Enjoy every moment. cause time flies by so fast when u have kids. To raise a child , u must still have ur inner child. You cant always be so serious when it comes to kids. Love your kids, no matter what. Kids dont expect much. They are so easy to please. And when u have one, or two, or three. Your love just grows stronger and further than u could ever imagine. Children are a gift and we should cherish them. We should love them. Be greatful for them. And give them more than what we had. And always strive for the best for them. And mistakes made, will not permently damage them or ruin your parenting. It just helps u learn more as you go on. If I won $100 million, I'd give most of it to my children, then spend the rest on my hubby, myself and family. My current age is 30. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be partying and doing idiotic things. I was so completely right and wrong. Most of those, my age have grown up and have families. Others have yet to grow up, still party and have yet to settle down. So in my defense I was both wrong and right at the same time. When I was in my late teens, I dressed inappropiately. I wore belly shirts, short skirts, etc. Not all of the time. But enough to remember how stupid I must have looked. Now a days, my attire consist of Jeans, T-shirtsTanks tops, tennis shoes. Some nights, on a date night, I may wear a nice shirt, jeans and heels. But my style has certainly changed. I am always completely covered. No belly shirts, no mini skirts. Just mommy clothes. :) I share my home with hubby and children, which I find very sastifying. My kids have high honor and honor roll awards on our walls. I am so proud of them!!! In 10 years, I hope to be a great mom to my kids and a good friend to them as well. I also hope that my husband and I are as happy then as we are now. I'm going to get there by cherishing everything that I have and never taking anything for granted. My first job was at DARE Detasseling, where I got paid $400 to work in the fields. What I remember most about it is that all my friends worked there, and even though it was a torturous job, we had a ton of fun and a lot of laughs. There was never a bad day at work.
