Ronald's Story

Life After leaving school in 69 to join the army where I spent 3 years as a helicopter mechanic and got my GED, I came back to B.C. and worked at the Federal Center as a supply clerk. I left there in 77 to become a motorcycle mechanic and went thru a divorce. in 79 I re-married to Janet Winer from lakeveiw and we moved away to Iowa for 3 1/2 years and had a daughter Kira, we then moved back to Mi. and lived in Howell Mi.where I worked as a pattern maker/machinestand part time motorcycle mechanic. We moved back to B.C. in the fall of 86. My wife worked at lifespan untill Jul of 2,006 where she was terminated after 16 years when her job was eliminated and Lifespan started to fall apart to what is now a shell of its formerself. rt my own painting buisness which is doing well today and I stay busier that I like at times. Gave up motor cycles in 98 and took up golf in 2,000 Our daughter has blessed us with 2 grand sons and we love them dearly. Gavin 3 1/2 and Trenton 5 mo. The famaly home at 25 Illinois St. was sold in 2,002 after the death of my father Walt in dec. 2,000 We had lived there since 1960. My older brother Mike lives in carson city nevada with his wife and is about ready to retire from the postal service where he started here in B.C. back in the mid 70's I dearly miss the simplicity of those years at southeastern.and return to the neighborhood once in a while to reminice, although to do so today is sadly a risky venture to say the least. I would say that I am happy with my life and enjoy the simplicity I try to keep it down to.
