Ginger's Story
Life
On April 25, 1999 I met my soulmate at a friends house. We were married less than a year later. Our marriage on the whole has been wonderful. We have had rocky times just like everyone has. On August 15, 2001 our first child was born. She was beautiful. We named her Autumn. On October 27, 2003 our second child was born. She was beautiful as well. Everything was so perfect until December 12, 2003. We woke up at 3:27 AM and discovered our beautiful and perfect baby girl wasn't breathing. We tried everything and so did the ER staff but we were too late. Our baby had died and life as I knew it ended. I held onto bitterness and hatred like a lifeline. o hurt him during the next year and he still stood by me and told me how much he loved me. On June 17, 2005 our first son was born. He was so beautiful. I had to pull myself together for my husband and my children. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do. On Sept. 9, 2006 our second son was born. He's our little surprise. I have had a horrible time rebuilding my life. The hardest part is to put my children to bed and then have to leave their side not knowing if they will survive the night. Thankfully there is apnea monitors to provide a little sleep for parents. The one thing that I would not wish upon my worst enemy is to have to plan and attend your own child's funeral. Even after you suffer through the necessary events it's not over. Everyday of your life thereafter you relive that day and the pain that you feel.
